These remarkable individuals bring a wealth of passion, commitment and expertise to the table. Drawing on experience across humanitarian action, governance, peacebuilding, financial management, research, logistics and community development, our Board helps guide PACE Initiative with integrity, accountability and a shared commitment to lasting, locally led change.

Sandra Obaje

Board Chairperson

Sandra is a humanitarian logistics and operations professional with experience at Première Urgence Internationale, including fleet management, facilities, documentation and operational coordination. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maiduguri and brings experience in organisational management and operational oversight to PACE's Board.

Simon Ijidai Lukas

Simon Ijidai Lukas

Executive Director / Board Member

Simon is a finance, grants and compliance specialist with experience supporting humanitarian and development organisations across Africa. His work spans financial systems improvement, donor compliance, subaward management and strategic partnerships. He holds an MSc in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Bradford and brings financial stewardship and programme management expertise to PACE.

Dawara Yunana Dawara

Dawara Yunana Dawara

Board Member

Dawara is a humanitarian programme development and protection professional with more than a decade of experience in peacebuilding, civilian protection, child protection and inclusion. His work with Nonviolent Peaceforce and other organisations includes programme design, grants management and community-led approaches to protecting people affected by conflict.

Zainab Sharafadeen

Zainab Sharafadeen

Board Member

Zainab brings experience in research, public health, administration and supply chain management. Her professional background includes work with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies and a supply chain role with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since September 2021. She holds postgraduate qualifications in public health and a master's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
